The development period for Elxis 4.3 ended and a brand new Elxis version is available.

Version 4.3 has many improvements requested by Elxis users. Elxis Team would like to thank all of them for sharing their ideas with us to help us make Elxis better.

Till 4.2 you could schedule an article to be published on a certain day. Since 4.3 you can also set the time to be published and you can also schedule the unpublish of an article on a specific date-time. More over you can schedule the same way modules! This functionality is based on a built-in cron jobs system which allows you to even execute custom tasks on specific time intervals.

An other user requested feature is Archive. Now all content is automatically archived and there are pages where you can see archived articles for any year, month or day. You can combine Elxis archived pages with the new Archive module by Is Open Source.

Related and Important articles are also new features. Articles that have the same subject can be related by using a relation keyword. At the bottom of the article page Elxis will display you the articles related to the one you currently read. You can also mark an article as Important. With this mark you can distinguise articles based on their importance level and you can later display, for example, the important ones on a frontpage slider.

We also improved the administration interface. Status toggle icons, box view for modules, extensions' logos, fresh look for Iris template, option to mail multiple users from admin panel, share buttons for Twitter and Facebook are only a few of the improvements you will find on Elxis 4.3 backend section.
